Cottage Industry Soap Company

by Rae Ann Wright

Cottage Industry Soap Company began in my kitchen many years ago. I became fascinated with the chemistry and science of soapmaking and enamored of the amazing way it made my skin (and my children’s skin) feel. I made and gave away hundreds of bars of handmade soaps and bath products as I perfected my skills and recipes and learned exactly what goes into a bar of creamy, mild, rich soap that lathers great and will leave your skin gently moisturized. I started selling soap as my full time business back in 2012 and have been so excited over the years to watch as my business grew and to hear from customers from all over the country who love (and reorder) my soaps, lotions and candles. They truly are dessert for your skin and I hope that you will love them too!

Handmade Art Show Homewood

Handmade Art Show started in 1994 in a private home with just a handful of artists. It now showcases about 60 local artists.

Handmade is different from many other art shows because of it’s intimate size, featuring only local artists and is held in a neighborhood park.

Many Homewood residents walk to the show and consider Handmade their neighborhood art show.
